Pastor Alvin Simpkins is Senior Pastor of Emmanuel Christian Center in Denver, Colorado.
Pastor Simpkins holds a Masters Degree in Public Administration from the University of Akron and a Masters Degree (ABD) from Tulsa University.He served as an associate pastor for eight years in a mega church and he previously worked for five years with Promise Keepers, a national men’s ministry, as a regional director of Field Ministries and then as Director of Prayer.
Pastor Simpkins has traveled the nations speaking at men’s conferences, youth events, seminars and retreats with particular emphasis on the family particularly marriage, fatherhood and children.He and his wife, Carmel wrote the book Marriage:Made in Heaven or Hell on Earth and Alvin co-authored Pray or Become Prey.He has publications in Say Amen, Rev. Magazine and other periodicals.He has served as host for television’s Denver Celebration on the Daystar Network and appeared on The Word Network.
Pastor Simpkins life work includes strengthening the family in all areas with special emphasis on strategic fatherhood classes, helping youth to succeed and building marriages that last a lifetime.He believes that by focusing on these areas we build stronger families and stronger communities.
Pastor Simpkins and his wife, Carmel have been married for 26 years and are the parents of three sons and a daughter and live in Watkins, Colorado.
